‘Driving Crazy to the Front Door’: Book Launch

Join us on Nov. 13 at 6:30pm to launch Michael Foy’s debut story collection, Driving Crazy to the Front Door, moderated by Daneva Dansby. With many of the stories set in Surrey’s urban sprawl, the characters of Driving Crazy face a demolition of love, a type of destruction that forces them to rebuild and, if they can, recoup their losses. The stories shed light on the darkness of the human condition, helping us to better understand ourselves, our family, friends and maybe even our enemies. In Driving Crazy to the Front Door, Foy takes us right up close to loss — not for self-pity or despair, but to offer hope, and reminds us of what it means to be human. This event is free, but please RSVP here as capacity is limited. Books will be on hand for sale and signing. More about the author: Michael Foy was born and raised in Surrey. He holds degrees in psychology and education from Simon Fraser University. His fiction has appeared in Grain Magazine, The Nashwaak Review, QWERTY, Literally Stories, Blank Spaces, Canadian Shorts II, and other journals and anthologies. His story “The Questions Run” received an Honourable Mention in the Riddle Fence Fiction Contest. He lives in Montreal with his wife and two daughters. Find more about him here.
