Jonny Bones Memorial Movie Night

A Movie Marathon Memorial for Jonny Bones October 1st at The Rickshaw Theatre. Doors: 6 p.m. Films at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. There is no cost to attend. Donations are appreciated and will go to a charity chosen by Jon. -------------------------------------------- Obituary Jonathan Ryan William Aaron Feb 11, 1985 - August 21, 2026 Jon Aaron, known to many as Jonny Bones, was a musician, lyricist, performer, writer and someone who cared fiercely about the things and people he loved. If Jon got interested in something, he wanted all of it. Movies, music, comics, art, Stephen King, whatever had grabbed him. You could ask one question and still be listening an hour later because he wanted to tell you where it came from, what everyone else missed, and why it mattered. He paid that same kind of attention to people. Jon had a way of noticing the parts of someone they were trying to hide or apologize for, then making those parts feel worth keeping. He encouraged people to create, to speak honestly, to care deeply, and to stop shrinking themselves. "Fuck editing yourself," he once said about writing. It was very Jon. He wanted people to be fully themselves, and he had a rare way of making them believe they could be. To his family and partner he was Jon, Jon-Jon and Jonny. A son, brother, best friend and soul mate long before he was Jonny Bones. To the people who found him later, he was a friend, a collaborator, a familiar face at a show, a voice on the other end of a conversation, someone who made time. He was loved more deeply than he probably ever knew. And there are people walking around now who are braver, softer, louder, more creative, or simply more themselves because Jon once believed in them. A Movie Marathon Memorial for Jon will be held Thursday, October 1. Doors open at 6 p.m., with films at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. The evening ends at 11 p.m. There is no cost to attend.
