Parent/Relative & Child Sound Bath 7+yrs

Take a break from the norm, join our ocean-themed sound-bath sensory experience, and have fun with the family! ****Attention moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, and cousins! Bring your younger relatives to this unique sound bath event for some bonding time. Brains that "fire together wire together", that's neuroscience and a fancy way of explaining how sharing experiences with your child/young relative will strengthen your bond. During this parent/relative-child (7yrs+) sound bath, the facilitator will teach self-regulation skills like "belly breathing" and mindfulness, and use crystal singing bowls, ocean drum, chimes, and other sound tools to create a relaxing, engaging sensory experience. Led by: Vishavjit Sandhu, a Registered Clinical Counsellor who specializes in working with children, youth and families at Kindred Counselling (event host) dedicated to helping families connect. **Please bring a yoga mat, pillow, blanket, or anything else to feel comfortable (e.g., favourite stuffy). Don't be shy. Wear your pajamas for a super cozy vibe if you like! What to expect: Find a space together on the floor in our welcoming, air-conditioned studio. You will be surrounded by candles and a variety of projection lights and visuals, creating a dreamy, out-of-this-world vibe. Children will have access to fidgets and stuffies to help them retain focus during the sound bath. No meditation or sound-bath experience necessary. Exchange: $40 per person How to get to the studio: Kindred Counselling is located at the Enterprise Centre at 301-3701 E. Hastings St, Burnaby. There is a set of stairs to the left of Anytime Fitness (about 10 meters). You will see a sign for Kindred Counselling just before the stairs.
