Sharpen Your Climate Story: A Workshop with Chloë Fraser

We'll use guided prompts to draw out your personal climate story, including how your experiences have shaped both your connection to this work and how you show up in it professionally. You'll explore narrative strategies that externalize your authority and perspective, and connect the dots between your own story and the climate impacts you care about most. From there, we'll shape it into a clear, audience-ready pitch and workshop it in small circles. You'll leave with a refined mini-climate story and a resource cheat sheet of tools and language — some familiar, some new — that you can put to use immediately. The registration fee for this event is $5. All proceeds of the event go to Upstart & Crow’s climate programming, including writers’ residencies, book clubs, grants and more. More about the facilitator: Chloë Fraser is a storyteller, communications strategist, and facilitator committed to driving impactful climate action across Canada. She works in communications at an environmental non-profit, where she translates critical conservation and climate science into stories that resonate with diverse audiences. Chloë has taught an accredited storytelling course at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and led dozens of workshops on climate communications. She also collaborates with local non-profits to amplify their impact through strategic narrative design. Chloë was named one of Canada’s Top 25 Under 25 Environmental Leaders and was featured in the National Observer’s climate leaders column. She holds a BA in Economics, Law, and Ethics from Sciences Po Paris and a BA in International Relations and Creative Writing from UBC.
