For this workshop, you’ll work with a shimpaku juniper (真柏), one of the most popular and beloved bonsai trees in Japan. Learn the basics of bonsai while creating your own living work of art to take home and enjoy. Come get creative, connect with nature, and experience the beauty of bonsai up close! About the Season of Japan Event This workshop is part of the Season of Japan event, a full day of Japanese arts, culture, and history at the Nikkei Centre. Before or after your session, explore bonsai and ikebana displays, sign up to watch the free film screening of KOKUHO, visit museum exhibitions, and stop by food vendors and the museum shop throughout the day.
