Free small-group, in-person series for older adults. Build confidence & learn strategies to stay safe online. Understanding Today's Technology and Staying Safe Online Curious about today's technology but not sure where to start? Feeling anxious about online safety and avoiding scams? Join us for 4 sessions to build your skills and confidence! Dates are Saturdays November 7, 14, 21 & 28 from 11:30-1:00pm. Can't make all 4 session? Click here to join our intro session on September 26 instead! Designed with older adults in mind, this series is open to everyone 55+. These small group sessions are limited to 12 attendees to ensure you get personalized attention. We'll cover: • Intro to Tech Basics • Common technology terms explained in plain language • Smartphones, computers, tablets, Wi-Fi and the internet • Practical online safety tips • How to create strong passwords, avoid scams, phishing and more • Protecting your personal information • Building confidence using technology in everyday life • Opportunities for questions and guided support • Community resources to continue your learning journey! Hosted by Victoria Literacy Connection and presented by the Digital Bridge Society.
