Iron Maiden, Ladies Only Blacksmithing Evening

Fire. Steel. Hammers. An Evening You Won’t Forget. Step into the forge for a one-of-a-kind ladies-only evening of fire, sparks, steel, and Iron Maiden is a hands-on blacksmithing experience designed for women who want to try something completely different. No previous blacksmithing experience is required. With guidance from experienced blacksmiths, you’ll heat steel in the forge, work at the anvil, swing a hammer, and create your own hand-forged piece to take home. This is not a demonstration. You will be doing the forging. Choose What You Want to Forge Each participant can choose one of three projects: Cheese Knife Forge a functional, rustic cheese knife—perfect for charcuterie boards, entertaining, or as a unique handmade keepsake. Herb Chopper Create a hand-forged kitchen herb chopper with real character and traditional blacksmith-made appeal. Forged Rose Transform steel into a beautiful forged rose—a lasting piece of metalwork made by your own hands. What’s Included Your Iron Maiden evening includes: • Three hours of hands-on blacksmithing • Use of forge, anvil, hammers, and tools • Step-by-step instruction • All steel and project materials • Safety equipment • Your finished hand-forged project to take home • Refreshments • A fun, supportive ladies-only atmosphere No Experience Needed Never swung a blacksmith’s hammer before? Perfect. This event is designed for beginners. You do not need to be strong, artistic, or experienced with tools. Our instructors will guide you through the process from heating the steel to shaping your finished piece. What to Wear For safety and comfort, please wear: • Closed-toe shoes or boots • Long pants made from natural fibres such as denim or cotton • A cotton or natural-fibre shirt • Hair tied back if long Please avoid loose clothing and highly flammable synthetic fabrics.
