On Halloween night, the veil thins. Masks go on, and something more authentic comes out. This is your invitation into a ceremony where costumes become doorways, laughter becomes medicine, and into-me-see becomes something you feel all the way into your bones. Come as the Witch or the Wizard, the Mermaid or the Pirate, Red Riding Hood or the Big Bad Wolf, the Goddess, the Cowboy, the Vampire. Each archetype carries a tantric principle and an invitation to meet a part of yourself you may have tucked away. Just bring your curiosity, a willingness to be a little silly, and an open heart to receive the gift of connection. What is a tantric puja? In Sanskrit, puja means worship, and tantra means "to weave," like threads on a loom. A tantric puja weaves together body, mind, breath, and spirit… so that we can remember the divine within ourselves and see it reflected in one another. Traditionally, a puja moves through purification, sacred sound, gesture, offering, and inner devotion, awakening the senses so the practitioner becomes a vessel for something greater. At its heart is a simple, beautiful idea: only the divine can truly honour the divine. So first we soften, clear, and arrive, and then we offer ourselves fully. There is nothing mandatory here, everything at the pace of trust, ease and willingness. On this night, we honour those roots in our own way, with presence, reverence, and plenty of play. What we may explore together: • Opening ritual: clearing the space and ourselves, and setting our intention • Altar offering • Breath, sound, and simple mantra to awaken energy • Mudra and sacred gesture • Guided meditation and inner devotion • Dyads and heart-centred sharing • Soul gazing • Movement, music, and a shared dance of energy • Playful exercises and encouraging words • Nurturing, consent-based energy exchange • Archetype role plays full of belly laughs • Closing circle and integration The container we create: Honour, respect, care, confidentiality, and consent hold everything we do. Your boundaries are welcome here, and every boundary is respected, always. I invite you to speak your preferences clearly as we co-create a trusting and safe enough container to explore in. This is a space for full expression. You may witness bold costumes, laughter, tears, or somatic release of sounds ( whispers, woots and hoots ) and every part of being human is welcomed here. To keep our container free from disruption, this is a phone-free ( silenced or off ), photo-free evening. I invite you to arrive clear and sober, so you can be fully present with yourself and others - confident consent can only arrive with clarity. Who this is for: Adults 19+, singles and couples of all orientations, from curious beginners to seasoned practitioners. Whether this is your first puja or your fiftieth, you are welcome here. At the start of the evening, we will co-create the container with a conversation through consent and boundaries, so we all begin from the same grounded place. How partnering works: If you arrive with a partner, you may choose to stay together all evening, or you may choose to rotate with the others (changing your mind at any time is honored ). All others will rotate throughout the ceremony. This is a space for conscious connection, into-me-see and meeting each other where we are. The flow of the night: • 6:00 pm: Doors open. Arrive, check in, and build your nest. Settle in and do what feels grounding for you… meditation, movement, stretching, etc. • 6:30 pm: The puja begins. • 6:45 pm: The doors will be locked to protect the integrity of the container • Halfway through: A 30-minute break to take care of personal needs and nourish ourselves together with a potluck snack feast. • 9:30 pm: We close our circle. What to bring • A yoga mat or something similar, blankets, and pillows to create a cozy nest (one per couple and one per single ) There may or may not be any extra nests so please make sure you have something to sit on • Your costume (any level of effort is welcome, whether that's full glam or a simple mask) • Comfortable layers for warmth and maybe a change of clothes for after • A water bottle • Something nourishing for the shared table: fresh fruit, chocolate, hummus and other dips, gluten-free crackers, or whatever else tickles your fancy Venue details [Venue: TBD - will be posted asap] ***This is a scent-free space. About your guide: I'm Oshen Starr (Michelle), a Professional Holistic Counsellor, Certified Somatic Educator, Life Coach, and the founder of Wild Human Wellness. For over 15 years I've walked the path of tantra and ceremony, weaving in somatic education, Nonviolent Communication, trauma-informed counselling, Authentic Relating (Levels One and Two), and nature-based practice. I'm a mother of beautiful grown humans, who inspired me again and again to peel back my own layers and find my way into authentic LIVING. Much of my time is spent in nature with my two yellow labs, where connecting with its magic keeps reminding me of my own.
