The Downbeat Presents: Scorpio Birthday Bash

House, Tech House, Techno, Breaks… Slick and dirty. Straight to the body. Let’s misbehave under the lights. Saturday November 7th 9pm-2am The Downbeat Presents: Scorpio Birthday Bash Ft: Wookie DJ Leanne Trust Nesha ******************************************************************************************** We have a triple birthday banger for this one as Scorpios Wookie, Leanne and Nesha will all be celebrating another boogie round the sun. These DJs are all formative members of Victoria’s underground dance scene, having played this space many times, long before it became The Downbeat. Trust may be a bit newer to the city (and not a scorpio lol) but he has earned his place on this lineup. Expect to dance to House, Tech House, Techno, Breaks… Slick and dirty. Straight to the body. Let’s misbehave under the lights. ******************************************************************************************** Wookie https://www.instagram.com/shawnvinesen/ https://soundcloud.com/wookie-bubble-toes Born in Montreal and now based in Victoria, BC, Wookie has been stirring up late-night dance floors since the late ’90s. His sets are a dirty, punchy mix of house and techno — the kind of grooves that sneak under your skin and keep you moving long after you planned to pack it in and call it a night. Low lights, sick beats, and just the right amount of after-hours mischief, don’t miss Wookie’s sets for this one- he won’t be holding back for his birthday performance!
