Strengthen your foundational skills and tools as a new or experienced supervisor. Please note that this is an in-person training in downtown Los Angeles. Supervising people presents challenges as well as opportunities for growth. This seminar is designed for both new and experienced nonprofit supervisors and those who have had no formal training for their role. In this class, you'll sharpen your skills to better plan and prioritize, communicate with and motivate your staff, and network and learn from other supervisors. Come away with new approaches for working with your team to best accomplish your goals. Topics include: • Role of the supervisor • Managing relationships, coming from peers • Setting priorities and expectations • Navigating the changing workplace • Supervising employees remotely and hybrid • Communication styles Who Should Attend: This seminar is designed for Nonprofit Supervisors, Directors, Managers, and other nonprofit leaders at all levels of experience. Facilitator Patricia Navarro - Senior Learning Manager, Center for Nonprofit Management Patricia brings over 20 years of dedicated experience supporting the nonprofit community to her role at CNM. Her unwavering passion for empowering individuals through learning and growth has been a driving force throughout her diverse career. Patricia has successfully coordinated and managed a wide array of trainings, events, and conferences, demonstrating her commitment to fostering development within the nonprofit sector. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Patricia has played pivotal roles in coaching adult learners and managers, as well as facilitating impactful trainings for nonprofit leaders, volunteers and clients. At CNM, she assumes a crucial role overseeing certification programs, administering scholarship grants, and delivering trainings. Patricia's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from ITESM, a prestigious university in Mexico, underscoring her commitment to excellence. Moreover, she holds the distinction of being a Certified Coach, having completed the Goldvarg Consulting Group program—an accredited initiative by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Patricia's multifaceted expertise and dedication make her an invaluable asset to CNM, where she continues to make a lasting impact on the nonprofit sector's development and success.
