KNCJ Biggest Little Concert Series 2026-27 Season Pass

KNCJ 89.5FM invites you to the third season of its Biggest Little Concert Series! The KNCJ Biggest Little Concert Series features a combination of music performed by some of the Truckee Meadows's finest musicians, and casual conversation both musical and personal moderated by KNCJ producer Chris Morrison. Inspired by the legendary, long-running public radio program Saint Paul Sunday, the KNCJ Biggest Little Concert Series is a lively showcase for local musicians. For the first time, we are offering a season pass good for all four concerts in the series! The 2026-27 season includes... Sunday, September 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m. The Toiyabe Trio – harpist Emily Montoya Barnes, oboist and flutist Aaron Hill, and violist Dustin Budish – presents a program including the “Trio Toiyabe” by Monica Houghton. This concert is a collaboration with the Toiyabe Chamber Music Society. Sunday, November 1, 2026, 11:00 a.m. Frog and Toad, guitarists Brad Jones and Ben Wilborn, performs a program of lovely acoustic guitar duets. Sunday, February 7, 2027, 11:00 a.m. The Sierra Nevada Baroque Ensemble, which specializes in the music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, plays intimate chamber music from the Baroque era. Sunday, April 11, 2027, 11:00 a.m. Joshua Anderson, Associate Professor of Clarinet at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Music and Principal Clarinet with the Reno Philharmonic, closes the season with virtuoso clarinet music. All KNCJ Biggest Little Concert Series performances take place at the University of Nevada, Reno's Harlan O. & Barbara R. Hall Recital Hall. The conversation for the series is moderated by Chris Morrison, producer for KNCJ public radio. All proceeds from these concerts will benefit KNCJ, Nevada Classical and Jazz. Support for these concerts has been provided by David Fenimore, former announcer at KUNR public radio and retired professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno. What to Expect When You Arrive: Doors open thirty minutes before the performance. Seating is first come first served. Whether it’s the front row, back row, or the balcony, every seat in Hall Recital Hall has a great view. When you arrive please show your email/receipt for tickets purchased online. If paying cash on the day of the performance please bring exact change. Tickets for adults are $20 each. Tickets for students or kids are $5 each. To use a credit card, please buy tickets online.
