Tanja Ostojić: ENCOUNTERS — On Bodies, Borders, Resistance

ENCOUNTERS is the first comprehensive retrospective exhibition in Germany of the work of Berlin-based artist Tanja Ostojić. A pioneer of feminist and post-migrant artistic practice, she has been exploring issues of migration, body politics, gender relations, and institutional mechanisms of power and exclusion since the 1990s. Her work spans performance, video, installation, and conceptual art, and is often created through close collaboration. The exhibition brings together key works from the past 25 years as well as new productions, highlighting the enduring relevance of Ostojić's practice to current social debates. An accompanying program featuring artist talks, roundtables, and workshops further explores the exhibition's themes. The project is a collaboration between the art space Kreuzberg/Bethanien and alpha nova & galerie futura.
