Social Hackathon: Shaping a More Inclusive Bonn DATES Friday, September 25th: 14:30 - 18:00 Saturday, September 26th: 14:30 - 20:30 Sunday, September 27th: 17:00 - 20:00 LOCATION Freie evangelische Gemeinde Bonn KdöR Hatschiergasse 19, 53111 Bonn What are the biggest challenges migrants face in Bonn? More importantly, what can we do about them? Join us for a multi-day Social Hackathon where migrants, people with migrant backgrounds, local residents, youth workers, community organizations, and anyone passionate about creating a more inclusive city cancome together to turn lived experiences into real solutions. A Social Hackathon isn't about coding, it's about social collaboration. Over the course of several days, participants will work in diverse teams to identify key challenges affecting migrant communities in Bonn, explore their root causes, exchange ideas, and co-create practical, innovative solutions. Through interactive workshops, facilitated brainstorming sessions, design thinking activities, and collaborative teamwork, you'll develop concrete proposals that address real local issues. Along the way, you'll connect with people from different backgrounds, share experiences, and build new partnerships dedicated to making Bonn a more welcoming city for everyone. At the end of the hackathon, each team will present its ideas and recommendations. The strongest proposals will be compiled and shared with the City of Bonn and other relevant institutions and decision-makers, giving participants the opportunity to directly contribute to conversations about the future of integration and inclusion in our community. During the Social Hackathon, you'll: • Identify the most pressing challenges facing migrants and diverse communities in Bonn. • Collaborate with people from different backgrounds and perspectives. • Develop practical, community-driven solutions. • Learn creative problem-solving and innovation techniques. • Transform ideas into proposals with real potential for local impact. • Present your ideas to fellow participants and contribute recommendations for local decision-makers. Whether you have lived experience, work with migrant communities, or simply want to help build a more inclusive Bonn, your perspective matters. Together, we can move beyond talking about challenges and start designing solutions.
