GiveOut Germany Summer Mingle GiveOut Germany is coming to Frankfurt for the first time! GiveOut is an international LGBTQI community foundation that mobilises resources for LGBTQI organisations around the world. Having begun in the UK, Germany is our first international expansion. Following a series of events in Berlin, we are excited to bring our growing community to Frankfurt for an evening of connection, conversation and solidarity, in partnership with Deutsche Bank. Around the world, millions of LGBTQI people continue to face profound barriers to safety, dignity and equality. This event is an opportunity to meet like-minded people, hear directly from an LGBTQI activist and explore how our collective voice and resources can help create lasting change. What's happening • Meet, mingle and connect with community in a welcoming and inclusive space • Hear directly from an LGBTQI activist working to advance equality in Malaysia • Discover how GiveOut and its grant partners are creating lasting change around the world • Learn how you can support the global LGBTQI movement and extend its impact Our guest speaker We will be joined by Andi Suraidah, Executive Director of Legal Dignity, an LBQ-led feminist legal organisation and GiveOut grant partner in Malaysia. Andi will speak about the situation facing LGBTQI communities in Malaysia, Legal Dignity’s work to protect and advance their rights, and the difference international solidarity can make. About Legal Dignity Legal Dignity is an LBQ-led feminist legal organisation addressing the limited availability of queer-friendly legal services in Malaysia. The organisation is building a gender-responsive legal network of NGOs, practising lawyers and law students who can defend LGBTQI people in the courts and use the law to advance equality. Legal Dignity also provides legal information and support to help LGBTQI people understand and exercise their rights. About GiveOut GiveOut is an international LGBTQI community foundation. We mobilise resources for LGBTQI organisations around the world, helping ensure they have more of the funding they need to support their communities, tackle inequality and campaign for lasting change. Whether you already support global LGBTQI rights or are simply interested in learning more, you would be very welcome. We hope you can join us for an evening of connection, conversation and solidarity. If you can’t join us on the night but would be interested in meeting Andi or members of the GiveOut team during their time in Frankfurt, please contact [email protected] and we’d be happy to coordinate a time.
