Ciarb at the IBA Annual Conference Copenhagen 2026

Drawing on the findings of Ciarb's recently published report on expert witness evidence, this panel will explore emerging best practices for the appointment, management and presentation of experts in international arbitration. The discussion will bring together arbitrators, counsel and expert witnesses to examine the challenges facing tribunals and parties, and how greater consistency and procedural efficiency can be achieved. Attendees will also gain insight into two significant forthcoming initiatives: the development of new guidelines on expert evidence being prepared jointly by Ciarb and the International Bar Association (IBA) Arbitration Committee, and an emerging protocol being co-developed with the Society of Construction Law (SCL).
