Full description from organizerShow less
Fem Pub: Cold Type, Hot Politics 1960—1990 Decades before computers and social media, print periodicals were fiery sites of debate, experimentation, and knowledge-making at the heart of the women’s movement. Scrappy, glossy, refined, coarse, they traveled widely, circulating ideas and building solidarity across borders. This book gathers fifty-nine of them, from Argentina to Zimbabwe and beyond—a small fraction of an explosive print culture propelled as much by analog technologies as by the energy of the streets.
