Join us for a unique walking tour that explores the history of one of Egypt's iconic female artists, Umm Kulthum. We'll explore and uncover the story of how she rose from a rural Delta village and rose to become a powerful voice of nationalism that transcended class boundaries.The 1.7km walking tour will explore iconic statues, buildings, and record stores that bring her story to life, and ends with a live performance of the Umm Kulthum Puppet Show at El Sawy Culture Wheel to celebrate her legacy.
