The Bottleneck Map: a working session for business owners

That is not a holiday, and it is not a scheduling problem. Here is the part nobody says out loud. You are not busy because your business is doing well. You are busy because your business cannot move without you in the middle of it. Every decision, every approval, every small question comes back to you. You built it that way, and at the start that was exactly right, because there was nobody else. The problem is that stage never closed. You have probably already tried to fix it. An app. A course. Someone who was going to automate a few things. Maybe all three. And you are still the one everything passes through. That is not because you chose badly. It is because each of them sold you a piece and nobody ever drew you the plan. Tools do not fix a business that depends on one person. They add one more thing for that person to manage. What this session is Two hours, twelve people, one room. No slides, no apps, nothing to install, nothing to sign up for afterwards. You will list what actually passed through you last week. Not what you think passed through you, the real list. You will put a number on it, and you will compare that number to what you assumed before you started. The gap is almost always wider than people expect. Then you will sort that list using three decision rules you can keep using long after this session, and you will leave with your own three priorities in order, on paper: the things that, if they stopped going through you, would give you back the most.
