Rooted in folk-rock and indie folk, with detours through psychedelia, alt-country, and the kind of sharp storytelling that makes a room go quiet, his music sits in the tradition of John Prine, Billy Bragg, Kris Kristofferson, and Townes Van Zandt — though it always ends up somewhere entirely his own. SURPRISE ARTISTS ANNOUNCED EVERY WEEK WineWednesdays is for you if you are feeling like the past weekend was a long-ago memory, and the future weekend is still a helluva lot of days ahead.
