Read along with us This time we read and discuss a book from the Southeast Asian region: Beauty is a Wound by Eka Kurniawan (translator: Annie Tucker) - from Indonesia 🇮🇩 Read about the book here. This novel is a darkly comic, wildly imaginative family saga that spans generations of Indonesian history, blending ghosts, folklore, violence and sexuality with a sharp critique of colonialism and political power. Note: availability of English books at local book stores and libraries can be somewhat challenging, so make sure that you start looking into how and where to get your copy as soon as you can!
