Halloween Cartooning with Big Dog

Join Big Dog creator Colin Fraser to draw fun cartoon characters, explore animal sketches and create your own original character. Workshop Facilitator - Colin Fraser A picture is worth a thousand words, and for Colin Fraser, one picture was the inspiration behind his first rhyming picture book about a stray dog searching for a new home. Join Colin for a spooktacular cartooning workshop where you’ll doodle your way through the basics of creating creepy characters, curious creatures and Halloween adventures! Discover how simple drawings, imagination and storytelling can bring your characters to life. Along the way, Colin will share tips for creating memorable cartoon characters and show you how to draw Big Dog from his book Big Dog and the Home for Lost Hounds. All materials are provided, and no previous experience is necessary. All young people need to be accompanied by an adult. This is a family-friendly workshop suitable for all ages, so bring along the whole family – parents, carers, grandparents and friends are all welcome. Together, we are committed to making creativity accessible to everyone by providing affordable, high-quality arts activities in the heart of Aberdeen city centre throughout the summer holidays. We aim to create welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring spaces where children, young people, adults, and families can explore their creativity, learn new skills, and spend quality time together. By attending this workshop, you are supporting the local creative community and Charlie House's charitable work. This workshop is part of the EDIT'S Tattie Holiday Art Club delivered by SMART Art Agency in partnership with Bon Accord and EDIT Aberdeen.
