Crathes Mini Off-Roader Experience

Kids take the wheel in our brand-new, hands-on adventure! Get ready to tackle some rugged trails and have a blast! Designed for kids who love a challenge, this 30-minute session puts them behind the wheel of their own mini off-roader as they tackle woodland trails, bumps and small obstacles on a purpose-built course. After a short intro briefing at the new Wild Wood HQ cabin, they’ll hit the track in their very own electric vintage-Landy-styled off-roader. The generous 20-minute track session and only 2 vehicles at any time makes sure they get the most out of their adventure, while the rest of the family can relax with coffees and snacks available in the cabin. Not burnt off enough energy yet? Every Off-Roader also gets free entry to the Wild Wood Adventure Play! Please note: • 6–12 years old • 1 child per mini off-roader (Please note: 1 adult must accompany each child) • The off-roaders are automatic, electric vehicles; limited at 5mph. The varied off-road terrain prevents excessive speed. • The bespoke course is located in woodland, just north of the main visitor car park, with natural features and small obstacles to navigate and enjoy. • The session lasts 30 minutes (10 minutes for safety briefing and instruction, and 20 minutes for the track session). • £20 per vehicle (includes free access to Wild Wood play park – normally £5). • Please wear sensible footwear and clothing. • Meet at the Wild Wood cabin at Crathes. Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked time. • Walk-in sessions may be accepted on the day but are subject to availability. The Mini Off-Roader Experience operates in suitable weather and ground conditions. The National Trust for Scotland reserves the right to cancel, postpone or suspend any session where weather or ground conditions are considered unsuitable or unsafe. This may include, but is not limited to, heavy rain, thunderstorms, high winds, poor visibility or waterlogged ground. Where a session is cancelled by us, customers will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
