Event: Archaeological Dig at Fyvie Castle

Dig into history and uncover hidden treasures with us at this hands-on archaeological adventure! Ever wondered what archaeologists do? Ever wanted to make your own historical discovery? Now’s your chance! The first dig at Fyvie for many a year, gives you the chance to meet with the archeological team and get try your hand at something new. The dig is open to all (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). The Racquet Court will be the main muster point for an introductory health and safety briefing on the day and the whole day will act as a drop in session so come all day or come for 1 hour its entirely up to you. Last Admissions on the events days to the Racquet court will be 3pm No experience is necessary, and all equipment will be provided but bring a Positive attitude, appropriate clothing for any weather and sensible footwear. Suncream is optional. Come along to dig or drop in to the Racquets court for a chat about what we find and what we do!
