LGBTQIA+ Cafe

A safe space for LGBTQIA+ adults with mental health problems to connect, share experiences, and support one another. Join us to meet other LGBTQIA+ adults with shared experiences, learn from their journeys, and build a sense of community. This conversation café is a welcoming space forthise of the LGBTQIA+ communitywho experience mental health problems. Held at The Nook, it offers a calm, informal setting to connect with others who understand, share experiences, and talk openly at your own pace. There’s no pressure to speak- listening is just as welcome. Come along to enjoy a cup of tea, feel understood, and spend time in a safe, friendly community space where difference is respected and support is shaped by those in the room. This cafe is for individuals aged 18 and over. What is The Nook? The Nook offers drop-in mental health support in a safe, stigma-free and non-clinical environment – without the need for an appointment. Walk-in support hubs where anyone can visit to speak about mental health, The Nooks will provide visitors with access to support for themselves, or people they care about. Our first Nooks are now open in Glasgow’s Merchant City and in Marischal Square, Aberdeen. Our skilled and compassionate staff are ready to support you, seven days a week. The Nook is a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. When visiting/participating I agree to treat everyone facilitating and attending this event with respect.
