Live mammal trapping with Adam Robertson and Vicky Graves

Interested in learning about small mammals such as mice and voles, and the process of live trapping? Join us for an informative session! Join us for an information session led by Wildlife and Conservation Management student (and our barista and volunteer Biodiversity Coordinator) Adam and SRUC PhD researcher Vicky Graves. They will be setting live traps to see what small critters can be found around the centre, and demonstrating the process conservationists and scientists use when trapping and handling small mammals. This is a family friendly session, but we request any children present remain as quiet and calm as possible around the animals to avoid causing them distress. A few key points: • Members of the public won't be able to handle the animals, this will be done by Adam and Vicky, who have received the appropriate training. • Please dress appropriately for the weather. • The Greyhope Bay Cafe will be open, so you can pop in to grab yourself a warm drink after the session is over.
