Support for Birth Parents

Support for Birth parents from NHS Grampian as well as others with lived experience NHS Grampian offers a range of support services for birth parents whose children have been permanently removed from their care. The Birth Parents Project, led by NHS Grampian in partnership with Aberdeen City Council, provides peer support and mentoring to birth parents facing challenges. The project aims to break down stigma and offer a safe space for birth parents to share their experiences and receive emotional support. Come along and have a chat about your experience in a safe, non-judgemental space What is The Nook? The Nook offers drop-in mental health support in a safe, stigma-free and non-clinical environment – without the need for an appointment. Walk-in support hubs where anyone can visit to speak about mental health, The Nooks will provide visitors with access to support for themselves, or people they care about. Our first Nooks are now open in Glasgow’s Merchant City and in Marischal Square, Aberdeen. Our skilled and compassionate staff are ready to support you, seven days a week. The Nook is a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. When visiting/participating I agree to treat everyone facilitating and attending this event with respect.
