On Our Lines visits Swindon Panel and the Didcot Railway Centre

Join us for an exclusive private signalling session on the preserved Swindon Panel, and explore the rest of the Didcot Railway Centre. On Our Lines at Didcot Railway Centre: Swindon Panel Experience Join us for a unique On Our Lines event at the historic Didcot Railway Centre, where railway signalling, simulation, and preservation come together for an unforgettable day. Our visit includes exclusive private access to the preserved Swindon Panel, giving attendees the rare opportunity to experience a real railway signalling panel while bringing many of the features and concepts we know and love from our immersive SimSig Sessions to life. Whether you're a seasoned signaller or simply curious about how the railway is controlled, this is a fantastic chance to get hands-on with a piece of railway history. Your ticket also includes full admission to the entire Didcot Railway Centre site, allowing you to explore the museum, exhibits, and collections throughout the day. Better still, the railway centre will be operating steam trains during our visit, providing plenty to see and do between turns at the panel. To ensure everyone gets a fair opportunity to experience the Swindon Panel, initial access will operate on a timed-ticket basis to manage capacity. We expect demand to be spread throughout the day and anticipate that all attendees will be able to enjoy multiple turns on the panel, with additional sign-up slots becoming available soon. Most importantly, this event is being held in support of Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, with proceeds helping to raise funds for the vital lifesaving service they provide across the region. By attending, you'll not only enjoy a fantastic day of railway heritage and signalling, but also contribute to an outstanding charity that makes a real difference to local communities. Whether you're interested in signalling, railway operations, preservation, or simply enjoying a day surrounded by railway heritage, this promises to be a memorable On Our Lines event. We look forward to seeing you there!
