Like A Lichen - Expert Guided Walk

Lichen. Not a plant. Not an animal but something different. Learn more on our walk with David Hill, of the British Lichen Society Lichen is amazing, its "a hybrid colony of algae or cyanobacteria living symbiotically among filaments of multiple fungus species, along with bacteria embedded in the cortex in a mutualistic relationship." But What does that mean? What does it do? Where can I see it? Join David Hill, of The British Lichen Society, on this morning walk to learn all about lichen, what it is, how it grows and what it does. You won't look at lichen the same way afterwards.
