Go The Distance 2027

Join us for a vibrant day of fitness, fun, and colour at BoxEnd Park! A day of colour, fun and fundraising! 🌈 Get ready to run, walk, laugh and get very colourful at Go the Distance! This fun-filled community event is open to children, families, friends and runners of all abilities. Expect plenty of energy, colour-splashed chaos and a brilliant atmosphere – all while raising vital funds to support children and young people through Fun 4 Young People (F4YP). Choose your challenge 🌈 1–2km Family Loop Perfect for families and younger children. Walk, jog, run or even dance your way around the colourful course together. 🏃 2km Child Run – Ages 8–14 For children who would like to take on the family loop independently. A supervising adult must remain on site throughout the event. 🎨 5K Colour Run – Ages 11+ Ready for a bigger challenge? Take on our full 5K course and see how colourful you can get along the way! What to expect on the day Expect a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of colour, music and encouragement around the course. Participants will pass through colour stations along the route, where they’ll be showered with colourful powder as they make their way towards the finish line. We recommend: • Wearing white if you want the colours to really stand out • Choosing clothes and trainers that you don’t mind getting colourful • Bringing a change of clothes or something to protect your car seats for the journey home • Arriving in plenty of time to check in before your run • Bringing water and anything else you may need for the day There will also be opportunities to enjoy the atmosphere before and after your run, so bring along family and friends to cheer you on. A run for everyone You do not need to be an experienced runner to take part. The emphasis is firmly on fun, participation and community, not finishing times. Walk it, jog it, run it or dance your way around – the aim is simply to enjoy yourself and get colourful! Run for F4YP 💛 The event is proudly organised by Fun 4 Young People (F4YP). All proceeds from ticket sales, along with any individual sponsorship raised by participants, will go directly towards our work supporting children and young people. Every step, every splash of colour and every pound raised helps us continue providing opportunities, activities and support for young people. So gather your family, round up your friends and join us for a brilliantly colourful day! CN: 1198194 To find out more about Fun 4 Young People visit www.f4yp.org
