A Unique Club - Queen’s University of Belfast Services Club

Join us at PRONI for a talk with George Chesney on the Queen's University Belfast Services Club Queen’s University Belfast is the only University in the United Kingdom and Ireland to have a Services Club. Established in 1918 by members of the University returning from the First World War, this unique club continues to thrive more than a century after it was founded. The members are the staff and graduates of the University and those with a strong connection with Queen’s University who are serving or have served in HM Armed Forces. This talk tells the story of some of the many hundreds of members of the Queen’s University Services Club, who they were and who they are. These account of their considerable achievements in the twentieth and twenty first century supplements those included in the recently published history of the club entitled “A Unique Club”.
