20 dates, 5 minutes each. Casual, fun and the easiest way to meet new people in person. Join us in The Red Room at Haymarket Belfast for a relaxed speed-dating evening: 20 dates, 5 minutes each. Casual, fun and the easiest way to meet new people in person. So How Does Speed Dating Work ? Speed dating is a fun and easy way to meet new people. On the night you’ll have the chance to chat with approximatley 20 singles for five minutes each — just enough time to see if there’s a spark. We keep it simple and old school: jot down who you’re interested in on your card, and the next day we’ll email you if it’s a mutual match. From there, it’s up to you to keep the conversation going or plan that all-important first date.
