Build Grow Share: Workshop Day - Bangor Walled Garden

We’ll be based in a stretch tent in the Walled Garden, creating a sheltered space for learning, making and chatting together. Across the afternoon, we’ll explore the theme of Build, Grow and Share through three friendly, practical sessions: • Build – Try your hand at making a simple bird box or garden sign with support from our team. • Grow – Learn how to plant a colourful autumn bulb “lasagne” to brighten up the colder months. • Share – Join Derek and Liz from Bangor Horticultural Society, who manage some of the beds in the Walled Garden, for reflections on their growing year — what they planted, what thrived, what didn’t, lessons learned, experimenting with potato varieties, incorporating ornamentals, and a relaxed question time for anyone wanting advice. We’ll begin with tea, chat and sign‑ups, and you’re welcome to join one session or take part in all three. The atmosphere will be gentle and welcoming, suitable for beginners, experienced gardeners and anyone curious about getting involved in community growing. All materials are provided.
