blues @ temperance | Chantel McGregor Xmas special

We are very excited to welcome back Chantel McGregor to play a stripped back Christmas show in our intimate venue. This will be special! JUST ANNOUNCED! CHANTEL McGREGOR SOLO ACOUSTIC SHOW Stripped-back shows offer fans a rare and intimate look at one of the UK’s most expressive performers Acclaimed guitarist, singer and songwriter Chantel McGregor is heading out on a special solo acoustic tour, offering a fresh and intimate take on songs from her album, The Healing, which was released on May 23, 2025. While McGregor is known for her powerhouse electric performances and technical guitar mastery, this solo run strips everything back to the raw emotion at the heart of her music. “These shows will be really personal,” says Chantel. “It’s just me, my guitar, and the stories behind the songs.” In a world often dominated by over-production, Chantel’s acoustic sets are refreshingly honest. Each performance highlights the lyrical depth and emotional honesty that underpins The Healing – her most autobiographical and vulnerable record to date. Themes of resilience, loss, and self-discovery run through tracks like ‘Stand on My Own’, ‘I Will Breathe’, and the haunting title track, all of which take on a new dimension when performed solo. Although The Healing is, at its core, a bold rock record filled with sonic experimentation, Chantel’s solo acoustic interpretations allow fans to hear the songs in their most exposed, heartfelt form. “I wanted to connect with people in a different way – not just loud amps and effects, but through the songs themselves,” she explains. This intimate show will include both new material and reimagined versions of fan favourites from earlier albums Lose Control and Like No Other, as well as some unusual covers. With the odd festive song too. With her signature humour, storytelling and breathtaking musicianship, these shows promise an evening of unforgettable performances. Whether you’re a long-time follower or discovering her for the first time, Chantel McGregor’s solo acoustic tour is a unique opportunity to witness one of the UK’s most compelling musical voices in a completely new light.
