Artist Office: Rest is Ecological

Join us for a special artists’ office which launches Niki Colclough's new publication Rest is Ecological. Rest is Ecological brings together new writing, collages, and notes from conversations which took place during the Rest Reading group: a monthly reading group convened by Niki in Crosby Library. The publication asks how rest might act as a form of ecological activism within systems driven by continuous growth, reflecting upon the work of authors including Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing, Tricia Hersey and Audre Lorde. To launch the publication, Niki will be in conversation with producer Niamh Riordan, followed by the invitation to take part in a restful sound bath in the library. Everyone who attends will receive a copy of Rest is Ecological, complete with bespoke Risographed insert by Niki. Limited to 15 spaces. Book your place now! Collage in image by Niki Colclough
