Cognitive behavioural coaching

Evidenced based training, modular approach treating the symptoms of ADHD which include the core symptoms and associated symptoms of ADHD. The main focus of CBC for ADHD is improving everyday functioning by developing practical skills and changing unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour. CBC course describes this as integrating cognitive behavioural therapy with coaching. The key areas are: • Attention and distraction — sustaining focus and redirecting attention. • Organisation and time management — planning, prioritising and completing tasks. • Impulse control — pausing before acting and considering consequences. • Problem-solving and decision-making — breaking difficulties into manageable steps. • Emotional regulation — managing frustration, anger, anxiety and low mood. • Relationships and communication — improving interactions and reducing conflict. • Sleep and other associated difficulties — developing healthier routines and coping strategies. The approach also focuses on understanding ADHD, strengthening motivation, building on personal strengths and developing strategies that work in real-life settings.
