Festive Wine Bottle & Gift Bags

Join us as we transform textile waste into usable items Wrap your Christmas gifts without the landfill guilt. In this hands-on sustainable sewing session you'll make reusable fabric gift bags and bottle bags from surplus textiles that would otherwise have gone to waste. They're a lovely way to give presents this year, and they can be used again and again. All materials, equipment and tuition are included in your ticket, so there's nothing to buy or bring. We have some sewing machines for you to use, but you're welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer to sew on a machine you know. Our team will be on hand to help you through each step. Come along, choose your fabrics and leave with handmade, plastic-free wrapping. Sharp tools disclaimer: This session involves sharp tools, including scissors, pins, needles and cutting equipment, as well as sewing machines. Please use all equipment with care and follow the guidance of our facilitator. Attendees take part at their own risk. Cancellations: Please give us at least 48 hours' notice if you can no longer attend, so that we can offer your place to someone else. Repeat no-shows or last-minute cancellations may mean we ask you to wait until after the first wave of bookings opens before booking future sessions, so that tickets go to those who have a better chance of attending. This session is free thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund's Awards for All programme.
