Fleetwood Pride in Place - Community Consultation Evening

The Fleetwood Pride in Place Board warmly invites you to an evening event to share your thoughts and aspirations on the first 4 year's. The Fleetwood Pride in Place Board warmly invites you to an evening event to share your thoughts and aspirations on how the first 4 year's investment from the Government's Pride in Place Programme is being used in Fleetwood. The interventions so far have come directly from the Board's ongoing consultation across the town, which has engaged people of a wide range of ages and abilities. During the evening, we will also share our initial thoughts on the longer-term ten-year plan, which has been shaped by the same consultation. We would value your input as we continue to shape the future of Fleetwood together. What to expect The evening will be organised into four themed consultation zones: • Zone 1 – Community Assets: playgrounds, green spaces, community hubs, SEND provision and accessible facilities • Zone 2 – Tourism & Commerce: Lord Street improvements, shop fronts, heritage, local businesses, the market, events, the Pier and visitor attractions • Zone 3 – Industry & Connectivity: employment, education, port development and transport projects • Zone 4 – Young People & Families: youth hubs, leisure facilities, education, SEND activities and safe social spaces Each project planned for the next four years will be displayed with: • A visual impression • What the project will deliver and who will benefit • Expected outcomes and timescales • Potential partners and match funding • Opportunities to vote, comment or suggest improvements The £20 Million Challenge As part of shaping the ten-year vision, we're inviting you to take on the £20 Million Challenge: if you had £20 million to spend in Fleetwood over the next ten years, how would you spend it? On the night, you'll be able to allocate your budget across the projects and themes that matter most to you, helping the Board understand the community's priorities for the town's long-term future. The People's Priority Wall The People's Priority Wall is your chance to add any other priorities for the town that you feel haven't yet been covered. Every contribution will be displayed on the night and will help shape the Board's long-term vision for Fleetwood. Fleetwood’s Future Wall You'll be invited to finish the sentence “In ten years' time, I want Fleetwood to be a town where…”, We look forward to welcoming you to the event and speaking to you.
