FREE First Class: MMA at Warrior Combat Gym - Monday Nights

MMA in Waterloo, Liverpool with Charlie Balmer. Mondays 6pm, 90 minutes. All levels welcome. First class is free, pay as you go after. Monday nights are MMA with Charlie Balmer. Charlie is a professional featherweight, 2-1 as a pro, with more than a dozen amateur fights behind him since 2018. In September he stopped his opponent with ground and pound 46 seconds into round one. He has trained in Thailand, Dubai and the USA, and he coaches what holds up in the cage. The session 90 minutes, mostly on the mat. Wrestling, top control, scrambles, getting back to your feet, submissions and ground and pound. Striking and takedowns are in every session, so you learn how the fight hits the floor and what to do when it does. Drilling and positional sparring at your level. Hard rounds if you want them. Technique if you don't. Who it's for Complete beginners through to competitors. Never trained? You start with the basics and build from there. Fighting soon? You'll get rounds with people who can push you. What to bring Shorts, a rash guard or T-shirt, and a gumshield. No gloves or kit of your own? We've got it at the gym. Your first class is free.
