Handmade Christmas Decorations

Join us as we transform textile waste into usable items. Make your Christmas truly handmade and kinder to the planet. In this sustainable sewing session you'll stitch festive decorations from surplus textiles that would otherwise have ended up in landfill, giving offcuts and leftover fabrics a joyful second life on your tree or mantelpiece. All materials, equipment and tuition are included in your ticket, so there's nothing to buy or bring. We have some sewing machines for you to use, but you're welcome to bring your own if you'd prefer to sew on a machine you know. Choose your fabrics, pick your design and take home decorations you'll treasure for years to come. Sharp tools disclaimer: This session involves sharp tools, including scissors, pins, needles and cutting equipment, as well as sewing machines. Please use all equipment with care and follow the guidance of our facilitator. Attendees take part at their own risk. Cancellations: Please give us at least 48 hours' notice if you can no longer attend, so that we can offer your place to someone else. Repeat no-shows or last-minute cancellations may mean we ask you to wait until after the first wave of bookings opens before booking future sessions, so that tickets go to those who have a better chance of attending. This session is free thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund's Awards for All programme.
