Walk and talk to highlight suicide prevention. The University of Lancashire has partnered with the Mary O’Gara Foundation and Papyrus to organise a Hope Walk in Preston to highlight the important issue of suicide prevention. Date: Wednesday 14 October 2026 Location: University of Lancashire, University Square, Adelphi Hotel, 43 Fylde Rd, Preston PR1 7DP Schedule: 11:00am – 12:00pm Walk Registration 12:00pm – 12:15pm Welcome Speeches 12:15pm Walk Commences 1:15pm (approx.) Walk Finishes Other Activities: • Fire engine display on the University Square from Preston Fire Station • Brass band and choir performances • Support and information stands • Refreshments
