Unity PEOLC, Award Winning Preston-based CIC founded by paramedic, Ruth and district nurse, Julie. They help fulfill final wishes and arrange special journeys for people receiving palliative and end-of-life care. The JJ Effect, a hard-hitting anti-knife crime and youth violence prevention program in the UK, founded by Byron Highton in memory of his brother, Jon-Jo Highton, who was murdered in Preston in 2014. Both these businesses have literally started from scratch, following their own passions, to make life better for others. Of course, it takes more than passion and we'll be hearing some of their nuggets about how they've got there. NOT TO BE MISSED! It will be great to have you join us!
