More than 28 million people in the UK live with persistent (often called ‘chronic’) pain, and supporting those people is not always easy. But we can help. Endorsed by the British Pain Society and the European Pain Federation, Flippin’ Pain is a public health movement that explains the (often surprising) science of persistent pain in an easy-to-understand way. When Pain Gets in the Way is an entertaining look at some of this latest science of pain, delivered by leading pain experts. Our entertaining, evidence-based talks and resources explore the complex biological, psychological, and social aspects of pain. Feeling confident in the science of pain can help you to achieve better outcomes and, in many cases, combat risk mismanagement. Professionals of all kinds are welcome to join. Food will be provided: we can’t wait to see you there! Please note: This event is open to anyone who works in the health or social care sector, or associated professions e.g. in the fitness and wellness sector. This is an in-person only event.
