Canford Heath Fungi Foray

Discover the fascinating world of fungi and mushrooms on our guided walk at Canford Heath Nature Reserve. Join our rangers for a guided walk around Canford Heath as we explore the variety of fungi that can be found within the reserve. You'll learn some of the basics of fungi identification, including where to start, the features to look for, and how different species can be recognised in the field. Along the way, our rangers will share some insights into the important roles that fungi play in our local ecosystems, and you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the hidden life beneath your feet. We will be taking a gentle walk on some uneven ground, therefore we advise you to wear sturdy walking boots and all weather clothing.
