Explore how using a pair of compasses you can draw layers of circles to build up pictures and patterns. From the seed of life to the flower of life and spotting symmetry and other shapes as we go. Geometric art links into typography, product design, architecture and of course mathematics. And many people also find the process of drawing in this way very calming too. Geometric art is one of my favourite things to explore, along with other quirky maths that perhaps gets missed in a standard classroom. Each session will mention some key maths where needed... but is all about the art!
