Paint, Pen, Paper, Play – Art Workshops for Adults

Three relaxed, creative art workshops exploring colour, mandalas and pattern. Come to one or more. No experience needed and all materials in Paint, Pen, Paper, Play - Art Workshops for Adults Join us for a series of relaxed, creative evenings exploring colour, shape, pattern and intuitive art-making. These workshops are all about experimenting, playing with materials and enjoying the creative process without the pressure of producing a perfect finished piece. Whether you're completely new to art or already enjoy making things, you're welcome to come along, try something different and explore your creativity in a friendly, informal setting. Each workshop is a standalone session, so you can attend whichever interests you. No previous experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Please note: Workshop activities have been updated since the flyers were printed. Please refer to the dates and descriptions below for the current programme. Workshop 1 – Colour, Flow & Layer Wednesday 18 November | 7:30–9:30 pm Explore the playful possibilities of watercolour through flowing colour, expressive mark-making and transparent layers. Experiment with mixing, movement and different ways of applying paint, allowing unexpected effects and discoveries to become part of the creative process. Workshop 2 – Pen, Mark Making & Doodle Wednesday 25 November | 7:30–9:30 pm Explore the creative possibilities of line, pattern and mark-making using pens and drawing materials. Through playful exercises, we'll experiment with repeated marks, intuitive doodling and patterns, building up layers of lines and shapes to create unique compositions. Discover how simple marks can develop into expressive artwork, letting go of perfection and enjoying the freedom of drawing without a fixed outcome. No drawing experience necessary – just a willingness to experiment and play! Workshop 3 – Mandalas: Circle & Form Wednesday 2 December | 7:30–9:30 pm Inspired by Carl Jung's exploration of mandalas, this workshop invites you to experiment with circles, colour, pattern and intuitive painting. We'll explore repetition, symmetry and asymmetry, alongside painting with the non-dominant hand to encourage a freer, less controlled approach to creativity. What to expect • A friendly, relaxed and supportive atmosphere. • Guided creative activities with plenty of room for personal exploration. • Opportunities to experiment with different materials and techniques. • No pressure to produce a perfect finished piece. • All materials provided. No previous art experience required. Tickets £35 per person, per workshop £60 for two tickets (bring a friend) £90 for all three workshops Each workshop can be booked individually. Minimum bookings Please note that each workshop requires a minimum of three paying participants to go ahead. If the minimum number isn't reached, you'll be notified at least seven days before the workshop and receive a full refund.
