The Winter Solstice - A celebration in music and words

An evening of songs and poems in the visitor centre to mark the beginning of winter and the lengthening of the days. Join us for an evening of celebration for the Winter Solstice. This was once a very important date in the calendar because, although it marked the first day of winter, it was also the date when the daylight would start to increase again and the days would start to get longer. We will have songs and some poems to mark this special time. There will be light refreshements. The event is taking place in the visitor centre.
