Dogs with Character - painting in Acrylics

Join professional artist and tutor Karen Harman for a one-day workshop painting a dog portrait in Acrylics on canvas board. Have you ever fancied painting your dog or cat, but don’t know where to start? Or have an ambition to paint a gift for a friend, or even start to develop your own pet portrait practice? Working from a standard reference image (which is different at each workshop), you will learn tips and tricks with acrylics, from beginning to map out the composition through to the finished piece. Far from a copying exercise, you will learn the theory behind painting and be given practical advice on materials too. You will take a well developed painting on canvas away with you which can then be used as a starting point for independently painting at home. Bring along your own photos and I will also make recommendations on how you can work from these in future.
