Once Upon A Crime

A fairy-tale mobster murder-mystery megagame. Play as fairy-tale characters dealing with the aftermath of the murder of Don Humpty Dumpty. In 1920s New York, the body of mafia don Humpty Dumpty was found with a bullet hole from his own gun. The police are looking for the killer and the mob families are rushing to fill the power vacuum. Come and play to see how the story unfolds. Leeds Nerds are returning to run an all-new megagame. Play as mobsters fighting to gain power and achieve your own goals or as the police trying to catch the killer, in theory. There will be negotiation, lies, secret deals and all out fights to achieve your own personal goals. Costumes are encouraged but not necessary. Be aware the game involves carrying cards and tokens so pockets or a small purse are recommended. Since information is key, bringing something to take notes with is also encouraged. The game will take place at the Tetley on Saturday 16th of January from 12:30 to 19:30 with doors open at 12:00. The venue is wheelchair accessible and 10 minutes walk from the train station. Further details, such as specific mechanics, roles and a schedule for the day, will be sent after tickets have closed. The venue is paid for with a minimum spend so please purchase food and drink during or after the event if you are able.
