Drawing on Lenna Bahule’s artistic practice, participants will engage with the voice as an instrument, a source of rhythm, and a powerful tool for creativity, expression and connection with one’s own musicality. Through guided exercises in vocal exploration, body percussion, improvisation and collective music-making, participants are encouraged to expand their musical possibilities, deepen their listening skills and discover new pathways for artistic expression. The workshop creates a supportive environment where curiosity, experimentation and play are valued as essential elements of the creative process. Rooted in both African traditional and contemporary approaches to vocal practice, the workshop offers practical tools that can be applied across a wide range of musical styles and artistic disciplines.
