About the organisers: Thank you to our partners ARIA and Nebius for making this event possible. About Pillar VC: Pillar VC invests at inception in companies solving the world's greatest challenges. We believe the next generation of world-changing companies and tools will come from the intersection of AI and science. We've invested in over 150 companies and raised $500M across 4 funds, with deep university roots throughout. As an ARIA Activation Partner, we're proudly building the Encode: AI for Science Fellowship. About ARIA: The Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) is an R&D funding agency created to unlock technological breakthroughs that benefit everyone. Created by an Act of Parliament, and sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology, ARIA funds teams of scientists and engineers to pursue research at the edge of what is scientifically and technologically possible. ARIA’s flagship Activation Partner initiative accelerates this mission, and powers the Encode Fellowship.About Fractile: Fractile is building chips, systems and software to radically improve the speed and cost of running inference on the world's largest AI models. They are hiring across the entire stack, from performance modelling to systems software engineering to hardware systems testing. About I.AI: The Incubator for AI is the UK government’s applied AI team building transformative AI tools for the public sector. I.AI spun out from the No.10 Data Science team a couple of years ago and have since been working on projects closely with No.10 to deliver against high political priority areas. For example: I.AI are aiming to halve the time it takes to process planning applications; we are bringing AI tutors into schools to support disadvantaged children.
